Reminds me of that classic 80s Indycar oval crash where I think, is it Rick Mears hits the wall coming onto the start finish straight, sheds a wheel and then vaults it, landing flush on his roll bar too Probably at Pocano or somewhere like that IIRC, I've tried googling but no avail. Scary accident...

Nürburgring Last race at this track https://i.imgur.com/9fdUki3.jpg 2013 - An engine failure on Bianchi's Marussia brings safety car as the car was unable to remain stationary on a hill. Pit-lane incidents left an injured cameraman. The change on tire compounds also meant that Vettel had another vi...

No comments out of the ordinary IMO. It's a known issue, and maybe why drivers need to unionize? In any case, Schmidt drivers have been handled rather questionably twice within a year now - is the issue the team itself?

The halo structure (of titanium) looks intact, what's cracked is just the carbon coating

They also tried GP masters with older F1 drivers, but the only top notch driver that accepted was Mansell and he was a league ahead of the rest Emerson Fittipaldi, Riccardo Patrese, Andrea de Cesaris, Derek Warwick, Hans-Joachim Stuck, Christian Danner, Eddie Cheever, Jan Lammers, Eliseo Salazar, P...

That was spectacular.

Especially since Dale was a compassionate man, see the story about the confederate flag and his black housekeeper. https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2015/07/05 ... rate-flag/

Oh yeah, and in the same thread where Week-end planning seems to be a non-issue to fix races, there are rose-tinted talks about one-lap qualifying. :p We all thought it would bring excitement. And it did happen exactly once : when Ralf binned it at Monaco. That's it. No starting grid was ever compl...

Does anyone really want to see a sprint race in Monaco instead of the traditional qualifying which is often more exciting than the race itself? I'd rather see Monaco taken off the schedule completely No F1 opinion pisses me off more than this. The most exciting track on the calendar gone? Ge...

ITT people are outraged about DTM team orders and driving standards? Meh, been through all this so many times before, I'm used to it. It is part of the game when the manufacturer stakes are so high. Nothing surprising, and I don't even think KvL's moves were that bad. Race 1 was an honest fight, rac...

I'm sold. This kind of racing is definitely a part of NASCAR's DNA. Two dirt races a year, not necessarily at Bristol, should be the way to go.

Short tracks rule.

Suarez is really impressive here

It's been like that for all factory teams the last year! Solution? No satellite team. See: Suzuki.
