What the fuck? I thought they were gonna leave the trucks the way they are. Why would they do this after seeing how the COT worked in the other series?

The only (and of course will never happen) way to fix this whole mess is making Chicagoland the final race before the Chase, pretty much eliminating all the points and finishes from Richmond and starting from scratch.

And about the Trucks..seriously NASCAR? if this is for the "safety" aspect the old Trucks were fine. After Tony Roper's sad accident in 2000 I cant recall any driver being severly hurt in the CWTS. Well so much for a good series in NASCRAP.

The Trucks have maintained the best overall quality of racing while the CoT came into being in the Cup and Nationwide series. Even though they are draggy and have been using splitters for years, I still think the fact that the inner workings of the truck chassis remained in the previous configuration was what made their races so good.

We had some great racing in all the divisions, but it was always most consistent and frequent in the trucks. Hopefully the fact that they are still trucks will somehow make them "different" enough to maintain quality.

Boxy trucks weren't bad at all in the 1990s.

True but since then, the rest of the components have evolved so drastically that you can't really draw much of a comparison based on the body shape alone.

I don't really care much what it looks like. I miss the boxy trucks anyways. I'm over getting excited about looks, it never ends well to set expectations high it seems in that respect.

Are all manufactures going to look like that? Has aero dependent written all over it.

Looks like a cement block.

Well, considering this is what a 2014 Toyota Tundra looks like, I guess the race truck isn't extremely far off.

Why doesn't the racing truck have square wheel arches?

Because aside from the last gen of Silverado, that's how they've always been.

This is true, but the first gen Silverados also didn't look drunk

I wonder how they'd drive with the skirts cut off and the body rounded under like back in the day...oh and run that narrow spoiler too.
